Discovering the Voice Within

December. Everyone seems busy, and our family’s social calendar seems a bit full too. I’m currently writing this with a stuffy nose… but if we look at the natural world, everything is slowing down. The trees have shed. The animals have started hibernating. The days are darker, and it’s harder to get up.

That’s what “end” means. Letting go, to make space for new. And we need to honour that space, so that we can see what our heart’s true desire is. The end of last year was hard in many ways. But I was able to shed and create space to my heart’s deepest desire. I learned how to embody that, and find ways to keep leaning into throughout the year, with music and movement, with walking and mindful breaks, and with regular sharing and participating in retreats. Being at the end of 2025, I can say this year has been the most aligned I’ve ever been to how I want to live.

It’s easy to say we want to live intentionally. But that requires work. First of decluttering, then of listening. Then based on that listening, choosing actions that allow us to keep living that out. That’s why I always set some time to make a vision board, so I can discover what wants to be heard. I don’t start with lists and ideas in my mind, but with embodied movement and playful discovery of images. When I put them together into a collage, what emerges is delightful and very insightful.

As Winter Solstice approaches, I honour the light deep within. And from there, I live out my vision. Thank you for this year, Universe. I choose to live the next coming year, from even deeper place into wider space, with freedom, journeying on with my friends, family, and yoga community.PS:

PS: If you want to find space to listen to your inner voice too, join us for a nourishing New Year’s Retreat on January 11th 😉
